Sure, baseball used to be a venerable American institute, but The Left went to its usual lengths to tarnish its glory and ruin it for the rest of us. Tragically, it's been a slow and steady descent into America-hating ever since, as the spectacle of Mark McGwire and Jason Giambi going after each other's buttocks in a bathroom stall attests. The latest chapter in its sad decline is the booing of that great American patriot, Dick Cheney:

New York third baseman David Wright said he was thrilled to meet Cheney and shrugged off the booing.

"When you've got 50 percent of America that's Republican, 50 percent that's Democrat, you're probably going to get mixed reviews," Wright said.

Actions like this show how out of touch Liberals are with mainstream America. If the moonbats want to engage in these sorts of childish antics while President Bush rightfully enjoys his record polling numbers, they do so at their own peril.
